I know a lot of people — friends, family and colleagues — who have fought breast cancer. Some have won, others have lost and many still fight. When someone in the security community decides to do something to help in the fight, I like to put the spotlight on them. And so I am in the case of Pauldotcom.
The official announcement:
In support of breast cancer research the PaulDotCom crew has pulled together some of the top names in computer security to discuss some of the hottest topics. On August 31, 2012 from 10:00AM-6:00PM EDT you will be able to tune in (http://pauldotcom.com/live) and watch/listen to debates such as:
Mobile Security – How Bad Does it Suck and How Do We Fix it? – Featuring Charlie Miller, Collin Mulliner, Zach Lanier and Josh Wright
End User Security Awareness Training Hot or Not? – Featuring Lance Spitzner, Javvad Malik, Dameon Welch-Abernathy (aka “Phoneboy”), and SpaceRogue
Defending Your Network – What really works? – Wendy Nather, Iftach Amit and David Mortman
“Is Pentesting Worth It?” – Featuring Ed Skoudis, Dave Kennedy, Ron Gula and Weasel
More information, including donation links, are posted at http://pauldotcom.com/300. We are excited to produce this event in an effort to raise money for breast cancer research and provide the security community with an educational and entertaining show!
Thanks for doing this, folks.
